Bantayan Island 2019
Bantayan Island is an Island situated in the Northern part of Cebu City. It is one of my favorite tropical white sand beach.
I have first seen the stunning beauty of the place when I watched the Filipino movie "Camp Sawi".
How Did We Get There?
- Via Plane- from Manila to Cebu takes more than an hour of travelling.
- From Cebu City, take a bus going to the North Bus Terminal
- From North Bus Terminal there are buses and Vans going to Hagnaya Port that takes 2-3 hours to travel.
- From Hagnaya port sail to Bantayan Island up to 1 1/2 hour.
Places To Visit:
- Virgin Island
- Kota Beach (Camp Sawi)
- Ogtong Cave( Subteranean Pool)
- Paradise Beach
After our tour in Bohol, we traveled back to Cebu City around 4:30pm. We got nowhere to go and needed a place to rest even just for 3 hours only.
From our accommodation, we went to North Bus Terminal luckily upon arriving, there is a UV waiting.
From North Bus terminal to Hagnaya Port, it takes 2-3 hours travelling.
At 1:30am we arrived in Hagnaya Port and we have to wait in the port for an hour because their ticketing office will only opens at 2:30am for the 3:00am trip.
We arrived in Bantayan Island at 5:00am. Porters who came inside the ferry offered us to help us with our luggages but we refused to since we can carry it with ourselves. However despite of refusing them they still offered us to take us to the nearby resorts where we can rest to since it is still early.
Rest.....Rest.....Rest.........
At 9:00am our guide fetch us up in our accommodation.
1.Virgin Island
We took a ride to virgin island with our tour guide and a boatmen going to the Island. It took almost an hour sailing. Suddenly moderate rain pours and the ocean bump as with big waves.
Travel Time to Virgin Island via boat: 30 Minutes
We spent 2 hours snorkeling and taking a pictures of the different breath taking views in the Island. It was an indeed a Virgin Island.
Entrance Fee: Php250.00
Afterwards we get back to Sta. Fe and had our lunch.
2. Kota Beach
The famous place where the Filipino movie "Camp Sawi" shooted.
It was indeed an amazing experience to see the real beauty of the place compared to see it only in the television.
There is no entrance fee if you would only like to have a picture in the Camp Sawi signage.
It is a subterranean pool located in ogtong Cave resort. The water is clear. I felt uncomfortable because of the pool is small.
Entrance fee: Php100.00
On our way to Paradise Beach, we drop by to an abandoned building that has a perfect view of the Ocean.
4.Paradise Beach
One of the beach I got excited much to see in Bantayan. Luckily the view delighted my eyes because of its clean ,fine and white sand. It is owned privately. The beach is well maintained by the care taker of the place.

In our original Itinerary, included is the Mangrove garden which should be our last stop but unfortunately the rain pours hard that hindered us to go there. Well we could visit it next time :)
